News from your Eliot Committees

Creative Arts Eliot Committee

Exciting news–Creative Arts Eliot plans to add a Children’s Art Workshop to its offerings in 2023! Elementary age children (those entering 1st to 6th grade) will have a specially designed art program with a qualified art teacher. The job description is under construction, and recruitment will be underway as soon as it is completed.

MAGs and youth are welcome in most adult workshops at Creative Arts (with approval of the artists/presenters.) Bring your whole family to Creative Arts Eliot next summer and experience the wonder of the arts at Seabeck.

The specific Arts for 2023 will be announced very soon—stay tuned!

Leadership Development Committee

You’ll be glad to know that the leadership of our camps is in great shape with Deans selected through the end of our summer camps in 2024. Eliot is an inclusive, intentional community that benefits greatly from the gifts of time and talents of Elioteers.

Have you ever wondered how to get more involved in our camps and leadership? Take a moment to complete the Finding Your Niche at Eliot, where you can see the positions available and decide how you’d like to become more involved. We review the survey regularly, looking for people who are willing to share their gifts in all things Eliot.

If you would like more information or to talk with someone on the Leadership Development Committee, please reach out to any one of these fabulous people: John Bishop, Kay Crider, Grace Jackson, Ken Kersten, Derek Sabourin, or myself. You can find contact information in your camp roster for those from your camp, or feel free to reach out to them the next time you see them.
