…There’s a brand new Elioteer in the August Eliot family! Miriam Schwartz and Adam Caniparoli welcomed Jonah to their nest in mid-October. In addition to grandparents Peg Maas and Steve Schwartz; aunties Eliana and Naomi Schwartz; great-aunt Lisa Maas and great-uncle John Maas, Jonah will join a whole  flock of cousins and extended family. So, sign up for August Eliot, and meet this amazing new human!!

 


The Eagle Weeps

Gerry Alford



Gerry Alford, a beloved Winter Elioteer, died on Sunday, August 26th. He was surrounded by a loving family; it was an easy, sweet, and quiet death. Gerry was the beloved husband of Heidi and father of Alicia. The family attended many Winter Eliots together until Gerry’s health prevented him from attending.

 




Sue Alperin




Sue Alperin died on Sunday, September 24th. Sue, along with her husband Bob, were attendees of many August and Winter Eliots since about 1989. She was deeply committed to our community. Sue is survived by her son, Scott Alperin and his wife Loretta Culbert and her daughter Mandy Alperin, as well as her two grandchildren, Hazel and Cormac.

…The Eagle has been delighted to gather newsy tidbits from her Eliot community over these past many years, but is joining Bev in retirement and now relinquishes her role as flying correspondent. Best wishes to all!!
