Creative Arts Eliot Committee

One of the Board’s three Strategic Initiatives beginning in 2016 was to continue growing and strengthening Creative Arts Eliot so it would be self-supportive and self-sustaining, and it has reached that goal. CAE has continued to grow every year, with a total of 116 campers in 2019. The number and variety of workshops has also increased. In 2019, there were 10 workshops in the morning, including an active sports option, and 3 workshops in the afternoon. We try to balance the categories of workshops in the literary arts, visual arts, music, and hands-on crafts.  An Extravaganza in the afternoon of the last day has become a tradition, showcasing and celebrating campers’ creations along with enjoying yummy refreshments.

Some campers now consider CAE their primary camp. CAE may be the only camp they attend but some also attend July, August, or Winter Eliot. We still have room for more campers, so consider adding Creative Arts Eliot to your plans next year and spread the word to others or bring a friend. This is a unique opportunity to give the creativity that waits inside all of us the opportunity to come out and play.
